I offer research services.  I can help you find information on your ancestors or for a book project. 


Coaching 

I offer genealogy and family history coaching services. Would you like to research your ancestors, but do not know where to start?  We can meet via Zoom and discuss how you can get started.

I have given presentations on how to search and on overcoming brick walls.

Experience and Education

I have been researching genealogical records since 1991. I have worked as a freelancer and telecommuter since 2003. 

I took graduate classes from the University of Strathclyde in Genealogical, Palaeographic (British Spelling) and Heraldic Studies.

I have done research with Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, United States Federal and Missouri genealogy and family history records available online. I have done research at the State Historical Society of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri and the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. I can help you search birth, marriage, death, census, newspaper, immigration, and many other records. I have experience researching digital resources and archives that still use paper.  I am based in Missouri and I am able to conduct onsite research in Missouri historical and archival centers and libraries.

Where did your ancestors immigrate from?   Ancestry and FamilySearch  have emigration and immigration records that can help you find your ancestors. Ancestry has various border crossings, citizenship records, naturalization records, passenger lists, passports, stories, and more.  FamilySearch has various arrival manifests, crew lists, naturalization records,  passport applications, passenger lists,  Ancestry and FamilySearch are good places to start your search of migration records.   Ancestry has a category called Immigration & Travel  and it allows you to narrow your search further to categories such as Passenger lists, Crew lists and and more.   FamilySearch has a collections section.  When you go to the FamilySearch Collection section , click on Migration & Naturalization and you can further narrow your search by Place and/or by Date.   If you need help with a project, please email me...
